My goodness, but there is such a variety of lingerie and in some form it's been around for thousands of years. The Ancient Egyptians used to make garments from sheer linen. There is naughty lingerie and comfortable lingerie and sensual lingerie and even odd-looking lingerie. You can see lingerie in magazines that may have you scratching your head. Lingerie can be for young women or older ones, modest ones or saucy ones. Lingerie is usually made up on a top and a bottom, or one piece, or even a short or long nightgown. It is also a woman's undergarments but probably what we thing of as lingerie is usually sleepwear. Lingerie can come in sets and this usually means a pair of slippers and even a robe, along with the other nightwear or undergarments. Cotton, nylon, satin and velvet are often used in women's lingerie. This is a French word and the French are known for their romanticism! Happy dreams.
