Fashion Shows -- Previews of Upcoming Trends

When have we never seen a fashion show on TV or in a drama or depicted in print or in the movies? They are part of our culture and are still a great way for designers to showcase their work. They are wonderful for a young designer just starting out as well as for the veterans. Fashion shows happen in most countries in some form or another. Some are wild and some are modest and all usually represent the culture of that particular country. They even have really quirky fashion shows such as firefighters modeling for charity, or other unique scenarios. A lot of fashion shows are very theatrical and are classed as performances. They can have smoke and lots of mirrors and vegetation, funky sets or weird objects placed randomly on the runway. Some models wear designs that seem really "far out" but some are quite in the mainstream. As goes the designer, that seems to be how his or her fashion show goes as well!
